This one day programme includes both theoretical and practical sessions and topics to be covered include :-

  • Anatomy/physiology of the upper airway
  • The acutely compromised airway – “buying time”
  • The Emergency Cricothyrotomy
  • Tracheostomy – emergency and elective
  • Tracheostomy tubes – types, securing and changes
  • Emergencies – occlusions, plugging and bleeding from tracheostomies
  • Case studies with interactive discussion
