Mediation is a better way of resolving disputes between people. In the medical arena mediation is particularly appropriate in

• Medical negligence and personal injury cases. Mediation offers a speedy way to resolve these issues.
• End-of-life and other difficult decisions in Intensive Care Units. Following the tragic Charlie Gard case the use of mediation has been strongly advocated.
• Workplace disputes in the NHS – especially those where personality clashes, power and authority or indecisive management are an issue
• Doctors in dispute with medical bodies.
