With the support of the London Deanery we have established a trainee-led perioperative research training group. We are organising a pan-London conference for all those involved in the perioperative medicine research translational pathway. This conference is aimed at scientists to clinicians, basic to clinical researchers, medical students to consultants, and BSc students to professors. The aim is to improve and promote research training, networking and collaboration within our specialties, and ultimately the beneficial translation of this research to our patients. Hopefully, breaking through many historical barriers between institutions within London.
