Fellowship in Patient Safety and Management (2 posts)
Whole-time fixed-term appointment for six months
(Extendable to one year subject to satisfactory review)
Start date flexible to suit individual
We are looking to appoint a motivated and driven individual with an interest in Management and Patient Safety initiatives. The post will be for six months initially with potential for extension subject to satisfactory progress and review.
The workload would be flexible to suit the needs of the department and the successful applicant will make significant and lasting contribution to patient safety initiatives, transformation projects and participate in the shared learning programme between trainee medical staff and the senior management team.
The post will contribute to the anaesthetic rota on at the Sutton site, currently a full shift, 1 in 7.5
The remainder of the time will be spent on projects, personal development and preparation time. Adequate time will be allocated for personal development and administration work and the post will be supported by the existing secretarial staff.
The post holder will require the permission of their Training Program Director; previous applicants have been able to count part of the time as an OOPT. This will be dependent upon individual circumstances and cannot be guaranteed.
It would be expected that the post holder works towards a formal qualification in Medical Education and would be supported by the department in doing so.
