Applications are invited for this 6-12 month fellowship to start in August 2015, or soon after by negotiation. The successful applicant will be involved in ongoing studies, setting up of new projects, and preparation of data and manuscripts for publication/ presentation. Current projects have led to numerous abstracts accepted at the OAA Annual Meeting including 4 IJOA abstracts, prize winning abstracts presented at GOAL and international poster presentations at SOAP Annual Congress.
The post encompasses protected research time, 3 clinical sessions per week and a 1:8 resident on-call commitment. It is envisaged that on-call duties will be spent primarily in covering obstetric anaesthesia.
The post is to be locally supervised by Dr Mark Nel, Lead for Obstetric Anaesthesia and Dr Con Papageorgiou, Lead for Quality Audit and Research. It is open to senior trainees who should hold the FRCA.
