A post-fellowship anaesthetic trainee is sought for the Pain Management Service.
The post offers the opportunity to undertake advanced pain training in the multidisciplinary Chronic and Acute Pain Management Service of the Royal Free Hospital
The department is recognised for advanced pain training leading to eligibility for application for FFPMRCA. It would suit a trainee who is approaching the end of, or who has completed their training in anaesthetics, and who wishes to sub-specialize in Chronic Pain Management.
The post also carries some day time anaesthetic responsibilities as part of the Department of Anaesthesia, but no night time on call commitment. Average hours of duty are 40 hours per week.

There will be opportunities to be involved in the work of other, related specialities such as palliative care medicine and neurosurgery, and visits or attachments to specialist units at other hospitals may be arranged.
The post commences August, 2010 for 12 months, but the successful applicant could commence earlier by mutual arrangement.
Salary in the range £ £29411 - £46246 depending on experience.
