Most of these are open to all members of the School, especially those who are studying for exams.

The School and the London Deanery jointly organise the ARCP (Annual Review of Competence Progression) events.

If you want to be a Reauditor then you can click on the link. If you decide to be a Reauditor, pleas ensure that you will working at the Trust at the appropriate time.

The School Audit Library is a place where Audit projects carried out by members of the School can be referenced. Audits are presented grouped by hospital. The senior author of each audit can be contacted via the website for more information.

You can submit a new Audit that you have done by clicking on the link in the grey box (if you are not Logged in then it will not appear).  When you do this you will asked for a brief report of your Audit and for a proposed Reaudit date.  You will be named as the Senior Author.

There is the facility to coordinate with the original author and other trainees to reaudit a topic and then be able to close the audit loop.  Each audit has a proposed reaudit date.  This appears in red if audit is overdue.

If you wish to be involved in a reaudit which is due to happen while you are at that trust, you (and a friend or a complete stranger who will become a friend) can sign up.  You can then contact the original author via the website to discuss the audit process and detailed findings, get hold of their data entry form, check out any policy changes made since the audit, write a poster for a conference of your completed audit loop etc.

The Central London School of Anaesthesia is composed of two London Teaching Hospitals and a number of general and specialist hospitals in the London area, who have joined together to provide training in all aspects of anaesthesia.  Our school prospectus describes each hospital. The School is part of the London Deanery. It is overseen and administered by a group of consultants who form the School Executive. Close links exist with the College Tutor in each of the hospitals in the school. 

Our training program is divided into three sections. Novices and junior anaesthetists can expect to be closely supervised and will attend a day-release ‘Introduction to Anaesthesia’ course. In the middle years we provide all the core specialties needed to achieve competencies and pass the necessary exams. More senior trainees are given the opportunity to customise their training programs as much as possible, and we aim for flexibility and individual planning.
